This is a project completed in December, 1999. The table is a device for producing an image representation on a rotating wire sphere. The sphere rotates by rotating the crank. As the sphere spins faster, the thin copper wires reflect light projected onto them. When the light is a projected image, the wires produce a spherical image that seems to float above the table. The project was inspired by Albrecht Durer's woodcut titled, "Draughtsman Drawing a Recumbent Woman", 1525 (Pictured Below).
