Project
Objectives
- To design an innovative environment that merges technology
and architecture to support a variety of pedagogical methods.
- To provide as many different scales and surfaces as possible
on which to display visual information.
- To accommodate technology in coordination with non-digital
applications, allowing digital and physical tools to coexist
and support each others’ functionality.
Project Elements

functions.
- CEiling mounted LCD projectors.
- A decentralized, web-based control system for projectors,
lights. video cameras, and microphones.

- Reconfigured wall surfaces, designed to support both pinup
and projection.
- A high-speed wireless network that will facilitate the
distribution of data among participants.
- New wall along East edge of the room to create additional
space for equipment storage and pinup surfaces.
- Infrastructure to carry wiring for additional electric
and power outlets.
- Collapsible, stackable, and stowable furniture to support
a variety of classroom scenarios.
